Americus-- You won't be able to buy a beer at a pub in Americus an extra hour later after all.

The City Council voted down the ordinance to extend sales of alcoholic beverages from 1:55 a.m. to 2:55 a.m., including Sundays. The extra hour only included restaurants and bars. Mayor Bill McGowan broke the three-to-three tie.
