Fitzgerald- 20-year old Julian Smith was shot to death Thursday night at Bridge Creek Apartments. Police have no suspects in his murder yet, but say Smith was killed in retaliation to the shooting death of 26-year old James Thomas.
Thomas was gunned down 3 weeks ago in front of Fitzgerald Elementary School.
Friday, 61-year old Gloria Jackson was found dead in her home. Police say the woman was beaten to death.
A blunt object believed to be the murder weapon has been recovered and sent to the crime lab.
