Special elections held

Undated-- Voters in several counties went to the polls Tuesday for special elections.

In Seminole County, Thomas Rogers beat Faye Clark for the District 5 commission seat left open when John Adams died.

In Hahira, Terry Benjamin won the District 1 city commission seat over Wilmon Stanley.

Voters in Sumter County approved a special local option sales tax for the county.

In Lanier County,  a special tax for the county schools passed overwhlemingly.

Colquitt County also approved a special sales tax for its schools by a wide margin.

Baker County also approved a special sales tax for the schools.

And T. E. Moye ran unopposed in the Elmodel district.
