Moultrie- The Colquitt County Commission voted to fire the county administrator Monday night.

Brian Marlowe's chair was empty and his nameplate was gone when the monthly meeting began.

Citizens at the meeting told Newscenter Ten Marlowe recently kicked in the door of the old county government building and has intimidated county employees.

"He had threatened employees of Colquitt County that if they talked to a commissioner then he would fire them," said Wallace O'Neal, a concerned citizen at the meeting. "They were quite upset about it and it's something that's never occurred in Colquitt County before."

The commission did agree to pay Marlowe through this year. He has been with the county since January 2002.
