Albany-- Terrence Kennedy qualified for the Ward Four race Friday. Kennedy ran for Mayor in 1999 when he was just 21-years-old. Since then, he says he's gotten lots of experience helping other political campaigns.

He says he stays active in the community, and that's the kind of energy he says the commission needs.

"That's what I bring, new young fresh energetic approach. I can sort of stir up the city commission not in a bad way like they are now but in a way that would get them motivated."

Kennedy wants to stop rising insurance costs for retired city workers, and he wants to beautify Ward Four, which is currently served by Bo Dorough.

Former state representative and Albany City Commissioner John White also qualified for the Ward Four race today. White is currently serving on the Water, Gas and Light Board of Directors.
