Albany- A local accountant wants to be a city commissioner.

Alfred Hosely wants to see an economic development plan put in place for Ward 1, which is mostly east Albany. He says much of east Albany has been left out of progress the rest of the city has seen.

"I've looked at this community and noticed there have been projects going on all over this community, but Ward I, east Albany, we have been the stepchild," Hosely said at his campaign kick-off Monday.  "Nothing has been done over here to help this community."

Jon Howard is the current city commissioner for Ward I.
