Nashville - A former South Georgia police chief is back in jail for probation violation.

In May 2002, former Nashville Police Chief Ira Shealy was sentenced to five years probation and forced to forfeit his police certification for having sex with two inmates. As part of his probation, he was ordered to have no contact with his victims.

Berrien County District Attorney Bob Ellis says Shealy recently contacted one of the victims and is now in the Cook County jail without bond.
