Camilla--  Thirty-seven-year-old Rhonda Faye Bass is accused of stealing thousands of dollars when she was Executive Assistant at the Camilla Chamber of Commerce.

She was fired on June 30th and now she's charged with stealing money from the chamber.

GBI agents say Bass took $16,000 of Chamber money for her personal use, with checks and credit cards.

Bass surrendered Thursday, and is free on a $2,000 bond. Bass is charged with one count forgery with checks.

Her case will go before a grand jury on October 20th and her arraignment is November 19th.
