Albany-- Some South Georgia fire departments will be getting a fat check to beef up emergency response.
The Blakely Fire Department is getting 53,582 dollars from the Department of Homeland Security. The Naylor Fire Department, near Valdosta, is getting twice that amount, 152,633 dollars.
