Valdosta - A South Georgia child infected with Eastern Equine Encephalitis is doing better.

Ten-year-old Jennifer Tucker of Valdosta is listed in good condition at the Medical College of Georgia hospital in Augusta.  Hospital officials say she's still not very responsive, but if her therapy goes well, she could be released from the hospital in a month.

Jennifer was bitten by an infected mosquito at her home in July.  She suffered a stroke on the side of her brain that controls emotions and eyesight and doctors had to remove part of her skull because of swelling.
