Albany-- Two jailers are accused of physically abusing inmates, two others of covering up the violence. The indictments came down this afternoon from the federal grand jury in Macon.

Prosecutors say jailer Stephanie Henry grabbed inmate Nancy Eldeek around the neck and bent her backwards over a wall in March 2002. Henry is charged with deprivation of rights, conspiracy and witness tampering.

Kevin Clark and Juanita Clark are both charged with conspiracy and witness tampering for falsifying reports about the incident.

In a seperate case, Santos Ruizgonzalez is accused of hitting inmate Kelvin Boyd in the head with handcuffs. Boyd's hands were cuffed behind his back at the time.

Ruizgonzalez is charged with deprivation of rights, conspiracy and witness tampering and false declaration. All four have been suspended without pay.

Sheriff Jamil Saba is out of town and no one else from the Sheriff's Department would comment on the case.
