Homerville - South Georgia police are looking for a man who escaped from jail this weekend.

Thirty-five year old Lorenzo Burkes of Homerville overpowered a jailer during a cell check at the Clinch County Jail Friday night.

Burkes was in jail for probation violation. He was on probation for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Police have been searching the surrounding areas for three days, but have found no sign of Burkes. If you have seen him or have any information on the case, call the Clinch County Sheriff's Department at 912-487-5315.
