Albany -- A car crash slowed traffic in both directions on the Albany bypass Thursday afternoon.
Albany State student Lakisha Dupree of Marietta was headed west on the bypass near the Slappey Exit, when she lost control of her 1995 Honda Civic.
Her car hit the guard rail, and then crossed over into the east bound lane. She collided with a Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Murril Tyre of Albany. His truck and trailer crossed the west bound lane of the bypass before ending up in the ditch.
Dupree was charged with driving too fast for conditions. No one was injured seriously, but Albany Police say it was just luck that no other cars were involved.
