Berrien Co. gets new youth center

Nashville - Half a million dollars in grant money means a new youth center for one South Georgia county.

Berrien county received $476,000.00 from the State Department of Community Affairs to build a new Youth Empowerment Services Center. The 8,000 square foot facility will include classrooms, computer labs, a multi-purpose room, and the Berrien County Collaborative offices.

Construction on the new youth center should begin next April and be finished by August 2005.
