ALBANY - Dougherty County Police need your help to find a man who shot a woman in the face Friday afternoon in what they say was an "apparent attempted robbery."

Annie Green, 56, allowed a black male into her home just before 5:00 to use the telephone when he shot her in the face.  She further described him to police as being between 5'5" and 5'9", having a  heavy build, dark complexion and in his late to mid-twenties.

If you have any information, you should call the Dougherty County Police at 430-6600.

Green was treated in the Emergency Room at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and then transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. She is listed in fair condition and should recover.
