Albany- The Dougherty County School System and Albany Technical College are teaming up to take some of the work out of education.
Many of the classes offered in the school system's vocational program must be re-taken by students when they begin Albany Tech.
With the new transfer agreement, the students can exempt the course at Albany Tech. if they made an 85 or higher in the class in high school.
"They're walking in with advanced credit. They're not going to have to start over and take courses they've already had," said Janice McKinnon, director of technical and vocational education at the school system.
