Albany-- A former Albany city commissioner is recognized for his commitment to Darton College.

John Moulton is the 2003 "Friend of Darton College." Moulton, who is currently a trustee of the college, has served on the board since Darton's early days as Albany Junior College.

Moulton thinks the future of Darton relies on the school's commitment to educating local people, "I hope it will be just what it is today and that is a viable, diversified opportunity for young people to come here and still be at home and work part-time jobs."

Seven women were also honored as "Women of Worth." Darton's Center for Women selected the recipients who are leaders in business, education, and volunteerism.
