Fitzgerald-- Federal safety investigators and a south Georgia Railcar company are looking into a chemical accident yesterday that killed one man and sent 11 others to a hospital.
The man who died was an employee of Mobile Repair Car Cleaning of Blackshear, but he was working at Fitzgerald Railcar Wednesday morning. The name of the man has not been released.
A railcar that once hauled molten sulphur was being cleaned when chemicals produced hydogren sulfide gas.
Three EMT's and eight other workers were overcome by fumes. They're alright now.
