Teen develops Youth Summit at High School - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

Dougherty County - The Teen Youth Summit was held at Dougherty County High School on Thursday for freshman girls. Counselors and peers spoke to students about the risks and consequences of premarital sex.

11th grader Courtney Calhoun developed the program. She says, " A lot of young girls in Albany are getting pregnant and having unprotected sex, and they needed to know about it, they need somebody who practices abstinence."

This is the first year the Teen Summit has been held at Dougherty High School.
