Albany - On Thursday some South Georgia volunteers took time out of their day to care for a child or elderly person in the area.
The United Way of South West Georgia held the seventh annual Day of Caring today. It was a time for volunteers to sing and play with children, let them explore some military equipment, and even have their fingerprints made.
"It really makes me feel great," says United Way Marketing Director Liz Gray. "It really makes me feel good to see what we can do for our community.
Volunteers also visited the elderly today at Evergreen Assisted Living home.
