Albany - Several area schools are back in session, and many more will be starting back soon. A lot of those students are getting ready for the school year with a little back to school shopping.
Thursday kicked off the four day tax free holiday in Georgia. Governor Roy Barnes started the holiday last year in order to help bolster the economy and, of course, help parents save a little money.
Lee Bass waited until the last minute again this year to take her children back-to-school shopping, but this time she lucked up. "I think it's great. I didn't even know it was tax free, I just got lucky."
This weekend, Lee and thousands of other back-to-school shoppers will be able to save some money when they hit the stores.
And when hitting the checkout lines, saving money is exactly what Lee wants. "I think it's great...any little bit helps."
