Thomas County - The condition of a man who was thrown out of a pickup truck is improving.

Twenty-year-old Michael Gene Gossett of Thomasville was upgraded to good condition at Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Gossett was in a Ford pick up truck on Georgia 35 in Thomas County on Sunday when it crashed into a guard rail.

His friend, 20-year-old William James Long of Thomasville, was killed.

Troopers say neither man was wearing a seat belt.
