Hello from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!
It's our last night before catching the plane back home. Thanks so much to all of you who have kept us with our journey!
Also, a special thanks to those responsible for me being here and thanks to the staff at WALB for helping me with the technical side of all of this!
I've certainly learned a lot. The last few days have been as wonderful as the first few... There are certainly a few highlights that I'll never forget-- whale watching is certainly number one, followed by walking across the the glaciers at the Columbia Icefield.
The Columbia Icefield is the largest of the chain of icefields along the Great Divide separating Alberta and British Columbia. Columbia Icefields is home to the some of the tallest peaks in Alberta, Mount Columbia, North Twin, South Twin, Mount Kitchener, The Stuttfields, Mount Bryce, Snow Dome and the The Athabasca Glacier.
And to be able to experience it all with my family and Channel 10 viewers!!!
Several times, I've wanted to break out with a few stanzas of "How Great Thou Art" when I took in all of the natural beauty on this trip!!!
I've included some more photos from Lake Louise, the Columbia Icefield and some new ones from Maligne Lake and our farewell dinner.
