Lee County- A Lee County teen came home the winner from a weekend state pageant.

Amber Tinson won Miss Teen of Georgia at Wesleyan College in Macon Sunday night.

She was judged on personality, formal wear, her scholastic record, and her service and achievement.

"The best thing about going to the program was recognition because it's good to get recognized for achieving and succeeding," Tinson said.

Next summer, Amber will apply to the regional pageant for a chance to go on to the national pageant.
