TIFTON - Tifton Police are baffled over how a South Georgia woman died in a motel room.
A man who was staying at the Super 8 Motel in Tifton called 911 just aften noon on Friday to report that Misty Carter, 22, of Moutlrie, had died in his hotel room.
Police and EMS workers responded to the Thunderbird Lane hotel and found Carter's body. They couldn't say exactly how she died, but didn't suspect foul play.
Investigators say Carter was not a registered guest in the room and they do not know what relation she had with the guests.
An autopsy will be performed. No charges have been filed at this time.
