Cook County - One person is killed and another injured in an early morning motorcycle accident.

Eighteen year old Emiranda Frost of Adel was a passenger on the Yamaha motorcycle that crashed into a post off Lovett Circle around 4:00 Thursday morning. She died instantly.

The driver, twenty-five year old Brian Edward Raper of Adel is in fair condition at Tift Regional Hospital. He apparently lost control on a curve and ran off the road and into a yard, striking the post.

Neither person was wearing a helmet, and charges are pending.

It is illegal to ride a motorcycle without a helmet in Georgia.
