Commissioners consider assistant city attorney

July 15, 2004

Albany - Changes are coming to Albany city attorney's office. Tuesday, city commissioners tentatively agreed to hire an assistant city attorney, who will serve as the city's solicitor and will assist the city attorney.

Nathan Davis will take over as the new city attorney August 1st, when Al Grieshaber leaves to take a job in Florida.

Albany lawyer Ingrid Polite will serve as the interim city solicitor until Davis hires the assistant attorney. The job will pay about $57,000, which is $15,000 more than what the city budgeted.
