Albany- City officials dedicated the new spray park at the George Washington Carver Community Center Monday.
The field of fountains is located inside the swimming pool area and cost nearly $300,000 to build.
"It made sense to spend sales tax money where the kids are less fortunate so they wouldn't have to be driven or transported by the city all the way over to the other park," says City Commissioner, Arthur Williams.
Commissioner Williams says the city will also discuss plans to expand the baseball fields at Carver Community Center.
