Albany- Little Jacob Brooks celebrated his fourth birthday at the fire station. Party-goers and parents got an inside look at the station, sleeping quarters, and even the trucks.

Though the main attractions were the lights and sounds of the vehicles, kids took home life-saving fire safety tips.

"Fire safety starts at home, and we try to involve the children in it and give them a plan. Once they can get a plan and their parents become involved it makes for a lot safer environment," says Captain Wayne Lay of the Albany Fire Department.

Jacob also had fun partaking in the traditional birthday fun... eating cake and opening lots of gifts.
