ALBANY - A South Georgia man luckily wasn't seriously injured when he was struck by lightning Thursday afternoon.
Around 3:15, 34-year-old Oree Glover was working outside at the Southern Concrete plant on U-S 19. He was near a crane when the lightning struck and knocked him to the ground.
Firefighters and EMS workers gave him oxegyn and first aid at the scene.
He was treated in the Emergency Room at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and was listed in good condition.
A hospital spokesperson said he will probably be released Thursday afternoon pending x-ray results.
