(Athens-AP) -- An assistant athletics director at the University of Georgia has filed a complaint against athletics director Vince Dooley after she says she was unfairly passed over for a promotion.
Susan Lahey, an academic counselor in the athletics department since 1992, claimed Dooley violated Equal Employment Opportunity laws as well as parts of Title Nine.
Lahey applied for Robert Goodwin's job as senior assistant athletics director for academic counseling and support. Lahey says she was told she would not be considered for the position.
Dooley says he consulted Len Davis in the school's equal opportunity office before making any decisions about the position.
