Cordele- Hundreds of families headed for Lake Blackshear this weekend. Even with the threat of afternoon showers, families are taking advantage of holiday summer fun.
Georgia Veterans State Park officials say weather hasn't effected attendance at all. "We're always booked every single weekend rain or shine it doesn't matter. They hardly ever cancel and they're still out here," says Tammy Rivers.
Rivers says the park has been selling out of campsites every weekend, and Fourth of July is no exception.
