Thomasville Police are looking for two men who attempted to rob a store, scaring customers and clerks.
Sumter County- A truck hauling a load of rolled sheet metal ran off the road, when the trailer may have come loose.
You can see where the truck left Highway 280 just east of Desoto. Then the cab of the truck hit a tree, and the fuel tank was cut in half.
The cab was engulfed in flames when rescue workers arrived. Authorities aren't sure if the man was trapped inside or if injuries kept him from escaping. Now, police are trying to find out who he is.
"I think the tag on the front of the vehicle is intact, we're going to run a check on it, find out who owns the truck and contact the company," said Danny Kimbrel, with the Georgia State Patrol.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one else was hurt.
