Albany - A day after the deadline, city commissioners change their minds about the budget and take back money for some local charities. On Monday, commissioners tentatively approved a budget. But Tuesday, commissioners voted down that same budget which included the implementation of a $15 municipal court processing fee. Some of the money generated would have gone to fund the charities. Instead, commissioners tentatively passed a staff recommended budget that doesn't include the same amount of money for those agencies. They must officially approve the budget Wednesday morning, two days past the deadline.
