Albany - Rain slick roads caused problems for Albany drivers. A chain reaction wreck happened around lunchtime at the intersection of Dawson Road and Lucille Street. A Honda rear-ended an SUV. About the same time, a driver failed to stop at stop sign on Gordon Street and hit another car. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

There was a more serious wreck on Radium Springs Road behind Merck and Company Tuesday afternoon. The driver apparently blacked out and crashed. The car caught on fire, but emergency crews were able to get the driver out of the car and quickly put out the flames. The driver was taken to the hospital, but should be okay.
