Mitchell County - Police say a Mitchell County man who raped his girlfriend is on the run. Thirty one year old Timothy Dewayne Williams is believed to have broken into his girlfriend's house around 1:30 AM Friday morning.

Investigators say he then went to his mother's home on Midway road, and left through the back door. That's where their search is concentrated.

"We have looked for him through the night and all today, we've been unsuccessful in locating him," says investigator Bubba Lamb. "We have obtained warrants for rape for Timothy Williams."

Williams was last seen around 11 O'Clock Friday morning wearing khaki pants. He was not wearing a shirt.
