Albany- Who says nothing ever happens in Albany?
Well, a lot of people.
So, who says there's no live music south of Atlanta, or north of Tallahassee?
Well, a lot of people say that too.
But at least for two days, neither statement is true! As a celebration of the 4th of July, downtown Albany will feature not one, but nine local and area musical acts, and a ticket will only cost you $5.00. What's more, proceeds will benefit our local Easter Seals.
On Friday, July 4th, "The Lot" behind the Harvest Moon on West Broad Avenue will feature Driftwood Express, J. Blues Band, and the Bo Henry Band.
On Saturday, t he City of Albany is closing off the 200 block of West Broad Avenue, near the Chamber of Commerce building, where a bandstand will be set up, and more acts will be playing in The Lot, as well.
There will also be adult beverages from Miller, and better Brands, and 30 vendors will set up shop. Many activities re also planned.
So if you say there's "nothing to do", don't blames the Merchants Association and Easter Seals!
