Albany- Time is running out if you want to participate in the upcoming Rams Roundup on the Albany State campus this week. The three day football camp put on by the ASU football staff and Owens Sporting Goods begins this Thursday and runs thru Saturday. < /STRONG>
Albany State head coach Mike White says there is still plenty of spaces available for the camp, which is open to kids ages 8-18. The main objective of the Rams Roundup is to give kids a better understanding of the game of football thru teaching fundamentals and the basics of the game.
The camp will also feature two separate coaching clinics for both high school and youth football coaches. Coach White says he thinks everyone can benefit from this week's camp, especially with the level of expertise coming in to talk with both the kids and coaches.
"We're just trying to teach them the small things so they can carry back and be able to help them have a successful year. I think they're really going to enjoy having some pro players here, having some pro coaches here and having the college guys work with them," White said.
If you are interested in attending the Rams Roundup you can register at 8am on Thursday morning at the Rams football offices on the Albany State campus.
