Pitts-- A Pitts man is charged with vehicular homicide for killing a 12-year-old Cordele girl.

56-year-old Aubin Jackson Collins is also charged with driving on the wrong side of the road. On June 16th, 12-year-old Ashley McVeigh and two female friends were walking on the sidewalk along Georgia 30 in Pitts. Collins crossed the center lane in his car, hitting McVeigh. She died at Crisp County Regional Hospital. Other charges against Collins are pending blood alcohol test results.
