Tifton - An NFL player who was scheduled to appear in a south Georgia Courtroom, didn't show up today.  Joe Johnson's lawyer represented him in Tift County Court this morning.

According to the Tift County Sheriff's department, the Green Bay Defensive end, was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor marijuana possession on May 22nd. Johnson said he wasn't even in Tift county when the arrest was made.

Johnson's attorney filed for a written waiver of formal arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty.

A pretrial hearing is set for July 17th.
