Albany- Nearly 5,000 people packed the seats at the Albany Civic Center to kick off the event. This is just one of 200 conventions that will take place across the nation for the next three weekends.

Coordinator's say this year's theme, "Give God Glory," has a special purpose.

"To remind us that God deserves the glory. In fact, the word glory is taken from a Greek word which literally means to make much of. So, we do make much of our God Jehovah and His son Jesus Christ," says program coordinator, Jesse Driskell.

Organizers expect more than 14,000 people to attend the convention over the next three weekends.
