Tift County hires new coaches

June 11, 2003

Abraham Baldwin College head coach Robert Moore is leaving the Stallions after three seasons but he is not leaving Tifton.

The Tift County school board last night approved the hiring of Robert Moore to become the head basketball coach at Tift County High School.

In three seasons at ABAC, Robert Moore was 45-45 and signed 14 of his players with four year colleges.

Moore succeeds Tommy Blackshear who resigned last month.

The school board also promoted assistant baseball coach Chuck Beale to head coach.
