TIFTON, GA (WALB) –When a group of men tried to break into a home in Tifton, the homeowner scared them away with a remote control.

Gary O'neal told officers he was eating a snack in his rocking chair in his apartment on Tifton Eldorado Road on September 11th.

Suddenly, the front door flew open and three men were standing in the doorway with a gun and pipes.

O'neal pointed his TV remote at the men and threatened to shoot them. The men ran away, but came back a short time later.

This time Oneal held the door shut while he called 911.

The would-be home invaders took off again and have not yet been arrested.
