ALBANY, GA (WALB) -A simple stop for directions turned into an armed robbery in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals confirms around 4:15 Monday afternoon, a man pulled up to someone  looking for directions.

Instead he held a gun on the victim and demanded money. The victim gave him his wallet and the suspect took off.

The sheriff says the suspect is believed to be in a purple color Chevrolet with shiny 20 to 22 inch rims.
