CORDELE, GA (WALB) – A man accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from a south Georgia high school booster club remains in jail in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition.

Mark Brubaker served as treasurer of the Crisp County High Touchdown Club from July of last year through last month.

He was arrested last week in Lake Wasauking, Pennsylvania where he now lives and was charged with 483 counts of theft by conversion.

Crisp County authorities say Brubaker stole $15,000 by using the club's credit card or stealing cash donations.

They say he should be brought back to Georgia soon to face the charges.
