ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A group of thoughtful people and bikers got together to raise money for a friend with terminal cancer.
Members with "Another Level" civic organization presented a $1,200 check to Shirley Davis. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in April.
The group started the poker run Saturday morning at Flint River Harley Davidson and wrapped up at the Mellow Mushroom. Davis says she's blessed to have people help her pay for expensive medical bills.
"I am very very grateful and I thank each and everyone of you for participating," said Davis. "It has truly helped out with all the expenses and medication because it really adds up quick."
Davis was an employee at Golden Corral. She thanks the staff for continuing support through her battle against cancer.
