ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany's movie making church has filmed a number of films in the city and Saturday they gave back.

Sherwood Baptist Church hosted a free kids event in Gillespie Park with horse rides, games, and food for the children who live that area.

The park is the same place the church used when they were shooting the movie Courageous in July.

"The movies that we've done at Sherwood have blessed a lot of people nationally and world wide, but if we forget our Jerusalem as Jesus called it we're missing the whole point," said Mark Glow, Sherwood Baptist Church.

Church volunteers also help to pick up shards of glass form around the park.
