Albany- Wal-mart and the Albany Parks and Recreation Department sponsored their annual Hooked on Fishin' event.

Kids and their parents spent the morning casting out lines and hooking dozens of fish at Ken Gardens Pond.

"The program is really set up to expose children to fishing. Some of them are first time fisherman and some are seasoned veterans. So, its a good opportunity to get the family together, father and their kids, or mother and their kids," says Jeffery Brown of the Albany Parks and Recreation Department.

The water is stocked catfish fish periodically to ensure that everyone can go home at least one catch. Saturday, lots of kids left with smiles and strings full of fish.
