Gardner-Webb University has pinned one of south Georgia's top high school wrestlers.

Dougherty High's Brandon Beach signed a national letter of intent with Gardner-Webb this afternoon.

Beach won 103 matches in his school career and was 30-4 in his senior year and finished second in the state in the 189 pound weight classin AAAA.

Brandon Beach is also a champion in the classroom. The honor roll student has won the Wendy's Heisman award for his school and a Golden Herald receipient in social studies.
