Accused Colony Bank robbers indicted

Two men arrested for robbing the Lee County Colony Bank and a credit union in Perry have been indicted by a federal grand jury.

Fifty-three-year-old Ronald Eugene Bender and 29-year-old David Antoine Luster, both of Jacksonville, Florida were arrested in April.

On Friday, a federal grand jury indicted them for stealing more than $176,000 from Colony Bank last Halloween. They're also accused of stealing more than $52,000 from the H.E.A. Credit Union in Perry on April 10th.

If convicted, the pair could face a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison on each bank robbery charge.
